Upcoming Events

Weekly Club Meetings at the MUUC Shed:

Come along at 7pm on Thursday for a social drink and to plan the coming weekend's diving.

Also don't forget..

Gear rental at the club shed is at 7:30pm.

Dinner and drinks at the pub usually follow.

On the last Thursday of each month we have a bbq at the club shed.

Upcoming Diving:

In addition to our regular weekends which can be found on the forum, we are planning some more special dive events/weekend trips.

Jan 26th - 29th, 2012 - Australia Day Weekend

We have campsites booked in Queenscliff for Thursday through to Saturday night. Plan is to run multiple dives each day. If interested please post to the forum.

Feb 4th, 2012 - Girls Day Out

Come on girls, the sun is out (mostly) and the water is warm! We are organizing a Girls Only dive day for Feb 4th. Current plan is a couple of pier dives down the Mornington Peninsula with dinner/drinks to follow. If you haven't been diving for awhile and/or need to renew membership - this is a great opportunity to get back in the water!!! If interested please post to the forum.

Feb 25-26th, 2012 Orientation Weekend

Well it's that time of year again for student to start/return to Uni. We are looking to plan a fun weekend of diving to encourage new member to get out diving as well as welcome back those who have been away. The weekend will likely include some shore dives, boat dives, possible night dive and camping. Please keep an eye on the forum for updates.

March 15th - 19th, 2012 Inverloch

We have a house book from Thursday evening through to Monday morning in Inverloch. If interested in going (even for one or two days/nights) please post interest to the forum.

As an added bonus, once you complete your course we're prepared to give you a week's worth of free gear hire to help you get into the water (excludes boots, torch).

General Course Information
Open Water Course
Introduces you to the world of diving, giving you the qualification you need to go diving anywhere in the world to a maximum depth of 18m. OW courses start with theory on a weeknight, one full weekend, another theory night and all or part of the following weekend. Remember that you will need a current (12 months max) medical by a certified dive doctor to be allowed to participate in the course. Get this before you sign up, as deposits are non-refundable!

Advanced Open Water Course
Broadens your skill level, allowing you to start diving deep to a maximum of 30m. The AOW course features several specialty dives, such as night dives, wreck dives and deep dives etc. There is no minimum number of dives before you can start your AOW, but it is generally recommended to get familiar with diving first. The advanced course generally runs over 2 days.
